• The first three rounds will be played with preferred lies in closely mown areas.

• Defending champion Dustin Johnson followed his opening-round, 8-under 64 with a 2-under 68 at Monterey Peninsula CC in round two. He shares the 10-under lead with Alex Cejka, Bryce Molder, Paul Goydos, J.B. Holmes and Matt Jones.

• The last time six players shared a lead was following the first round of the 2010 Sony Open in Hawaii.

• Johnson is making his third start at Pebble Beach. He won last year and finished T7 in 2008.

• Seven of Johnson's nine career rounds at the AT&T Pebble Beach National Pro-Am have been sub-70.

• Johnson's only other 36-hole lead or co-lead came last week at the Northern Trust Open. He finished T3.

• Coming off a T5 finish at last week's Northern Trust Open, PGA TOUR veteran Paul Goydos fired a bogey-free, 7-under 65 to grab a share of the 10-under lead with five others. Goydos' previous low at Spyglass Hill in his career was 70.

• Goydos is competing in this event for the 15th time, with his best finish being a T4 in 2005. He has previously held at least a share of the 36-hole lead six times, most recently at the 2009 Valero Texas Open.

• Following his first-round, 5-under 65 at Monterey Peninsula Country Club, Cejka kept the heat on in round two with a 5-under 67 (Spyglass Hill GC) to get to 10-under and into a six-way tie at the top.

• Cejka is competing in his fourth PGA TOUR event this season, having missed the cut in each of his previous three starts.

• Cejka has previously held at least a share of the 36-hole lead twice. He was co-leader after two rounds of the 2004 Michelin Championship before finishing T32. At last year's PLAYERS Championship, he was the outright leader after 36 holes, where he ultimately finished T9.

• J.B. Holmes (PB) has made the cut in all three previous appearances at Pebble Beach. His best finish was T16 in 2007. In round two, Holmes fired a 3-under 67 to claim a share of the 10-under lead.

• Holmes has held at least a share of the 36-hole lead two other times. At the 2008 FBR Open, he managed to parlay that 36-hole lead into victory.

• Matt Jones also joined the 10-under pack atop the leaderboard following a second consecutive 5-under 67 at Pebble Beach GL. Jones earned his 2010 exempt status thanks to a third-place finish at the National Qualifying Tournament.

• Jones' previous best finishes on TOUR were T4s at the 2008 Honda Classic and 2008 Buick Open.

David Duval followed his opening-round, 5-under 67 with a 4-under 68 to trail the 10-under lead by a stroke.

• Duval earned a spot in the field as the 1999 winner of THE PLAYERS Championship.

• Duval has competed in every AT&T Pebble Beach National Pro-Am since 1994, with the exception of 2002, 2004 and 2006. He owns a pair of runner-up finishes (1995, 1997) and fired a 10-under 62 in round three at Pebble Beach GL in 1997.

• Since his victory at the 2001 British Open, Duval has recorded three top-10s, his last being a T2 at the 2009 U.S. Open.

• Three-time AT&T Pebble Beach National Pro-Am champion Phil Mickelson posted a 5-under-par 67 at Spyglass Hill on Friday and sits T11 through 36 holes.

• PGA TOUR rookie Alex Prugh fired a second consecutive 4-under 68 to head into the weekend T8. He is competing in his fifth PGA TOUR event this season. Of the previous four, he has posted top-10s in his last three starts.

Chris Wilson has averaged 23 putts through the first two rounds, including 21 putts at Spyglass Hill GC on Thursday.

• Wilson posted a 5-under-par 67 at Pebble Beach GL on Friday, and tied the back-nine record with a 6-under-par 30 on the back nine, matching Dustin Johnson (Thursday) and Dan Pohl (1980).

• The low round of the day belonged to 2008 champion, Steve Lowery. Lowery posted a 6-under 64 at Monterey Peninsula CC.

• 2008 PGA TOUR Player of the Year Padraig Harrington improved on an opening-round 69 with a bogey-free, 5-under 67 in round two at Pebble Beach GL.

• Harrington is competing in his fourth AT&T Pebble Beach National Pro-Am. Prior to missing the cut in 2009, he finished T14 in 2008 and T30 in 2007.

Matt Kuchar and Tim Clark moved into a share of the Kodak Challenge lead with Brenden Pappas. They are all at 4 under. This year, the world-famous, par-5 18th hole at Pebble Beach will be featured as the Kodak Challenge hole. The Kodak Challenge is a first-of-its kind competition on the PGA TOUR. A different hole is selected at most events throughout the year and featured as that week's Kodak Challenge hole.

• Since 1936, there have been nine occasions in the United States where a major championship was contested on a course that also hosted a PGA TOUR event that same season. Tiger Woods (2000 and 2008), Jack Nicklaus (1972) and Ben Hogan (1948) are the only three players to ever win both the TOUR event and the major championship that were held on the same course in the same year.

• Monterey Peninsula Country Club's Shore Course returns to the AT&T Pebble Beach National Pro-Am for the first time since 1977 when Tom Watson won. The Shore Course was also part of the rotation in 1965 (Bruce Crampton) and 1966 (Don Massengale).

• This year marks the 25th anniversary of AT&T's sponsorship of Pebble Beach. Only the Honda Classic has a longer continuous relationship on TOUR, dating back to 1984.
